Prime Minister Right Honourable David Cameron has lauded Ghana’s swift economic gains positioning her as the eighth fastest growing economy in the World.
He said Britain looks forward to expanding collaboration with Ghana in the areas of Bilateral Trade and Investment.
David Cameron, was speaking when President John Mahama called on him at the Number 10 downing Street in London.
He also praised efforts of Ghana in regional security issues citing Mali.
President John Mahama, stated that with Ghana’s current status as a Lower Middle Income Country transiting into a Middle Income one it requires partnerships in various areas and Ghana recognises Britain as worthy partner in that regard.
He expressed excitement in taking part in the G8 Summit which will look at Tax,Trade, Transparency and the Extractive Industry.
President Mahama noted that with Ghana’s emerging Oil and Gas Industry, the Summit will be beneficial to moving the sector forward.
Meanwhile Minister of Information and Media Relations Mahama Ayariga, has been briefing the Media in London on some private meetings President Mahama has held Business groups and Mayor of London.
He said discussions were based on cushioning Small and Media Scale Enterprises in Ghana and promoting partnerships with the United Kingdom.
