MALI: #BreakingAfricanNews Ceasefire agreement signed between several Tuareg rebel groups and the Malian government after series of violent prevalence in the northern city of Kidal. Meanwhile an inquiry to investigate what happened will be set up by an international commission according to the agreement.

MALAWI: #BreakingAfricanNews President #JoyceBanda called off counting of the votes in the general election with immediate effect due to irregularities in the electioneering process. Section 88 subsection 2 of the constitution requires that the president shall provide executive leadership in the interest of national unity. Several lawyers have called the cancellation unconstitutional including the electoral commission which has sworn to give Malawians the result of the election.
