#Sudan Omar Al Bashir steps down

Sudanese president Omar Al Bashir is being reported to have stepped down amidst uncertainties when protesters organized by the Sudanese Professionals Association lay siege at the Army headquarters for over five days.

Sudan state television has being playing martial music for several hours typical of a coup in-progress but protesters are asking for a democratic transition and not a military take over of government.

Omar Al Bashir may have been arrested by the military as a pending arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court in The Hague might see him arrested to face charges of crimes against humanity.

This is a developing story..
