In a press conference held on Thursday, Professor Akin Abayomi, commissioner for health in the Lagos state government of Nigeria announced 4 new cases of positive Covid-19 bringing the total number of cases in Nigeria to 12.
Less than 24 hours after the confirmation of 116 Covid-19 cases, President Cyril Ramaphosa Confirmed that South Africa Covid-19 cases has risen to 150 after 34 more persons tested positive to the virus bringing the total number of positive Covid-19 cases in South Africa to 150 by Thursday.
The number of confirmed cases rose by 52 on Friday to make a total of 202 cases in South Africa. The minister of Health Dr Zweli Mkhize confirmed after he earlier made a pronouncement late on Thursday that the cases of positive Covid-19 could rise to about 200 by Friday.
The South African Reserve Bank on Thursday dropped interest rates by one basis point easing the pressure on consumers as payments of car loans and mortgage bonds will drop accordingly thereby creating more liquidity.
