No new cases in Ghana since lockdown eased as Africa battles Covid-19

The Comoros Islands and the Kingdom of Lesotho are two African Union member states yet to record a single case of Covid-19.

Ghana recorded zero cases since a three weeks old lockdown eased on 20th April in key regions of the country amidst mixed reactions from the populace.
While some think it might be too soon, others welcome the move especially low income earners and street traders who were heavily affected by the financial impact of the lockdown rules. Ghana last recorded 1,042 cases with 99 recoveries and 9 deaths before the lockdown was eased.
