South Africa is witnessing increased numbers of infections, recoveries, and deaths. The total number of cases recorded stands at 6,336 with 2,549 recoveries and 123 fatalities. In the last 24 hours cycle, another 13,164 tests have been conducted nationwide bringing the total numbers of tests conducted to 230,686.
“Hypertension, diabetes, and cardiac diseases are the three co-morbidities associated with serious illness from Covid-19” the Health Minister, Dr. Zweli Mkhize said. “Other co-morbidities that were seen amongst Covid-19 admitted patients were chronic pulmonary disease, malignancy, HIV, active and past tuberculosis” he added.
