Nigeria Eases Lockdown amid rise in COVID-19 cases in Lagos & Kano

Nigeria begins the easing of lockdown in Abuja, Lagos, and Ogun states. These measures will be phased over a period of 6 weeks and will be assessed in two weeks to ascertain the progress, challenges, and when the next phase should commence.
Public gatherings, schools, and places of worship are prohibited in this phase of the lockdown while some businesses will be able to operate within strict regulatory measures.
Market areas will be open for a controlled period while a curfew is in place that takes effect from 8 pm until 6 am local time.
The total test conducted in Nigeria is currently at 17,566 of which 2,558 tests came out positive. The number of patients discharged from hospital stands at 400 and a total number of 87 deaths recorded from Covid-19 related complications.
