70% of SA deaths from Covid-19 between ages 50 & 79

COVID-19 RELATED DEATHS
The most affected age distribution are persons from ages 50 to 79 years old accounting for 70.1% of total deaths in South Africa according to data from the National Department of Health and National Institute for Communicable Diseases.
Also are persons from ages 30 to 49 years accounting for 17.3% of total deaths while ages 80 to 99 years old accounts for 10.4% of total deaths.
The least affected age distribution are persons from infancy to the teenage benchmark of 19 years old accounting for 0.5% of total deaths while ages 20 to 29 accounts for 1.4% of total deaths.
