ABUJA: A bomb said to have been dropped off a motorbike into an abuja taxi exploded at about 4:00pm local time near the exit point of Emab Plaza, a popular shopping mall on Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse II. Meanwhile the police are yet to confirm the nature of the explosion as bomb disposal squad of the Nigeria police have commenced post blast investigation to ascertain the cause of the blast. 21 persons are said to be confirmed dead while 17 injured.
As a result, security has been beefed up with increased surveillance and security presence intensified. The injured have all been evacuated to various hospital within the city metropolis.
