Stephen McGown released from Al Qaeda linked captors.

Stephen McGown has been released from the Al Qaeda linked group in Timbuktu Mali and he is back home according to the South Africa Department of International Relations he was released on the 29th of July 2017.

He was kidnapped while visiting Timbuktu six years ago during a military coup. The NGO “Gift of the Givers” and the Government of Mali played a pivotal release towards the release.
