A diplomatic resolution to the standoff between Ukraine and Russia is being sought as French president Emmanuel macron visits Russian president Vladimir Putin in Moscow then to Kiev capital of Ukraine to meet President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Also president Joe Biden is meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the white house as more US soldiers arrive in Poland to boost NATO’s support against Russia’s military buildup around Ukraine’s border and a possible invasion.
President Putin said that the US is ignoring its concerns about NATO’s expansion as Ukraine seeks to join the western military alliance.
Moscow said the United States is using propaganda alongside western media to beat the drums of war as NATO builds up military presence in Eastern Europe and debunks claims that Russia has amassed 70% military capability needed to invade Ukraine.
